Adult leaders in Cub Scouts are required to undergo online training that is specific to their position. All leaders are required to take Youth Protection training, but Cubmaster and Pack Treasurers get different training modules that reflect their different duties.
Den Leaders and Cubmasters are encouraged to sign up for Woodbadge, the council’s premier adult leader training course. Woodbadge takes place over two weekends in May.
Once per year, the council offers one-day in person training for all scout leaders at University of Scouting. University of Scouting covers much of the same material presented in the online training modules, but is presented as an in-person training day and is a great way to meet other adult leaders who share your position in scouting.
