Pack 148 conducts and annual curbside Christmas tree collection fundraiser that supports registration fees and camperships for scouts from low-income families. Local residents from UP, Fircrest, and surrounding neighborhoods can sign up to have a cub scout come pick up their tree, which is then recycled with the help of UP Refuse and Recycling.
There will be a payment processing link available on this page in December 2024. Clicking on this link will allow you to enter the address where you want your tree collected and choose one of two different pickup dates, on consecutive Saturdays after Christmas. We will also ask you for you contact information, just in case we can’t find your tree. Tree removals cost $15 per tree, although you will have the option to make an additional donation to our pack’s scholarship program if you would like to help make scouting more affordable for families with demonstrated financial need.
